Ethan's vocabulary has expanded to include many different sounds, most of them happy banter, but he has also recently learned to make his crying sound particularly urgent. He adds this sort of constricted scream component in hopes that he will sway us to act more quickly in granting his wishes. He does this on occasions like when we take him out of the swing at the playground or when we stop pushing him on his purple bus. The trouble is, it is sort of funny and it is tough not to smile (which is for sure not what the desired response Ethan hopes for). We need to watch out!!!!!
Other Ethan news: he is working on growing his 7th tooth and is a Cheerio fanatic. He is able to "cruise"- walk along something while holding on- like the pews at church (poor folks behind us didn't get much peaceful time for reflection with Ethan grinning at them!).
